ArmInfo. Continued monitoring of compliance with safety rules in public transport in connection with COVID-19.
Within the period of May 18 to May 22, monitoring and compliance
with safety rules in public transport were carried out by the
transport safety specialists of the Inspection Body of Urban
Planning, Technical and Fire Safety of the Republic of Armenia.
Guidebooks were compiled and distributed to the heads of
organizations engaged in regular and irregular passenger transport,
taxi drivers. As preliminary preventive measures, work was carried
out to inform passengers, employees of bus stations and control
centers. In the regions of the country and in Yerevan, the employees
of the Inspection Body, together with the Traffic Police, carried out
daily control on the main roads, focusing on vehicles that are
usually overloaded. In each region and the city of Yerevan, together
with the Traffic Police, mobile groups have been created that daily
monitor the implementation of the established requirements.
As a result of the joint control work of the Inspectorate and the
Traffic Police, a number of violations were identified, work on the
alert was carried out and instructions were given.
